Curriculum & Philosophy

Lesson Plans

Our curriculum identifies goals in all areas of development:

  • Social: To help children feel comfortable in school, trust their new environment, make friends, and feel they are a part of the group.
  • Emotional: To help children experience pride and self- confidence, develop independence and self-control, and have a positive attitude toward life.
  • Cognitive: To help children become confident learners by letting them try out their own ideas and experience success, and by helping them acquire learning skills such as the ability to solve problems, ask questions, and use words to describe their ideas, observations, and feelings.
  • Physical: To help children increase their large and small muscle skills and feel confident about what their bodies can do.

Every day is a happy experience

At the start of each day, the children will meet in the atrium for group circle time where we interact, play, sing, dance, share stories and discuss the theme of the week. Our themes are selected to inspire curiosity and learning and include a variety of interesting subjects such as letter of the week, on the farm, transportation, in the kitchen, famous authors or dinosaurs. Our teachers will make every effort to balance play with structured academic programs using developmentally appropriate materials. Depending on the weather, we will have outdoor play each day for each group. All children will be offered healthy snacks and lunch.

Twice per week, we will have accredited teachers who are our contractors provide optional extra-curricular lessons such as ballet, gymnastic, phonics, math, science and computer programs. Parents can sign their child up for these classes as an optional choice.

At our center, we strive to make every day a happy experience for each child by providing ample opportunities to play, explore, experiment, and create. A typical day is organized around various learning and social activities. Each age group has its own customized program directed by our carefully chosen staff members. We aim to foster a positive attitude toward learning while emphasizing respect, courtesy, creativity, cooperation, hygiene and independence. Our policy is to encourage learning without pressure.
